VII. Things I've Learned

I. Pauses transforms a space into a place through intentional observation.

II. Knowledge about a place can come through directly experiencing our senses.

III. Following the trail centre without pausing to look,
felt like I was missing part of the experience.

IV. Don't wait for permission to do something you're passionate about.

V. To really know a place, return again at different times and seasons.

VI. Be prepared to go for multiple data gathering trips.

VII. Bring extra batteries, warm clothes & a headlamp.

VIII. Sometimes the map can find the community.

IX. Discovering more about a place
can change a casual walk into an adventure trail.
