Once the large satellite animation file fully loads (though this takes awhile!), the two animations should run at the same calendar time as each other.
Try refreshing the page, or even reopening the page again once the satellite animation is loaded.

Open the GOES Infra red animation in new browser tab
This animation of 705 GOES satellite thermal infra red (IR) images during January 25-29, 2020,
the same period of time as the Surface Pressure animation (640 MB file).

Open the Surface Pressure animation in new browser tab
This animation of 19 mean sea level pressure surface charts during January 25-29, 2020,
the same period of time as the IR animation (3 MB file).

The GOES -17 Infrared imagery IR (10.7 µm) and Surface Analysis Mean Sealevel Pressure charts
were collected daily from Government of Canada Weather weather.gc.ca/satellite and weather.gc.ca/analysis.

The animations were created with ImageMagick using the following terminal commands:

convert -delay 10 goes_wcan*.jpg anim-goes-wcan-2020-01-25to29_10.gif
convert -delay 350 SC-mn-slP-2020-01-2[56789]*.gif an-SC-mn-slP-2020-01-25to29.gif
