Remembering my first ethnobotany teacher Dr. Norma Myers, a Mohawk elder herbal healer, married to Carey Myers, a Kwakwaka'wakw heritary chief from Alert Bay. I apprenticed with Norma for four months in Alert Bay, during the fall of 1977, and again in Vancouver, for 2 months in 1979, earning a diploma in Herbal Therapeutics.
